Doberman Rescue Adoption Application:
Doberman Rescue Minnesota is dedicated to finding good homes for adopted dobermans. Be sure to complete the application completely otherwise it may not be accepted. All adoption application will be considered on a case by case basis. We will not adopt to homes with children 6 years and under due to potential bites, although we do not ever take in dogs that bite. Fencing is preferred. Use of a tie out or chain for any of our dogs is considered inhumane and prohibited. All adoptive homes must be within a reasonable distance from the Twin Cities metro area for home visits and follow up care. Under no circumstances will we place our Dobermans into a home where they will be forced to live outside, or to serve as "guard" dogs. Our dogs come from owner surrenders, human societies and animal control facilities in and surrounding the state of Minnesota. Prior to adoption all of our Dobermans are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for heartworm and taking heartworm preventative and microchipped should the doberman ever become lost. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility, all of Dobermans live in foster homes throughout Minnesota where they are evaluated for temperament, behavioral quirks, and work on basic manners and obedience.
