Help Out Jacob (AKA Jackson)

Jacob Knee Surgery

Please can you help our boy Jacob!!!! 2012 is not looking to be a happy new year for our Jackson, AKA as Jacob. This boy seems to continually get a raw deal in life. Although he is in a very loving foster home and has been in foster with us far to long due to his special needs. Sadly, Jacob recently completely tore his cruciate ligament in his knee. The knee is large and swollen and Jacob is  in extreme pain even with the help of pain meds. He will be having major surgery this Wednesday, January 18th with an Orthopedic surgeon. The cost of his surgery is estimated to be $2400.00. We have committed to Jacob from the beginning and we will not fail him now but we need your help!!! Doberman 911 has committed to donating $700.00 for his surgery and we are looking for help in paying the rest. Please consider donating to his care! He will be available again for adoption when we get him all fixed again!

We are always in the need of more foster homes!

Doberman Rescue Minnesota (DRM) is an all volunteer, nonprofit 501C, charitable organization, incorporated by the state of Minnesota and founded by the members of the Greater Twin Cities Doberman Pinschers Club and the Doberman Pinschers Club of America.

We are dedicated to finding the best possible home for all Dobermans that come into our adoption program. Be assured that the decisions and recommendations regarding surrendering or adopting a Doberman are based primarily on what is in the best interest of the dog and are guided by many years of experience with this special breed. We care as much about the quality of life for all Dobermans in our program as we do our own dogs.

Dobermans in our program are never kenneled and live in private homes with foster families who evaluate the doberman for temperament and behavior traits so we can make recommendations on the best type of home for our dogs.
